We’re back! Happy Mission Monday everyone! I wanted to talk today about becoming a FOCUS Missionary. We’re in the height of interview season and there are interviews happening all over the country. Two weeks ago Zach flew to Philly to interview applicants who applied to be campus missionaries. There were upwards of 80 applicants between the two regions being represented at the interview- that’s A LOT. And we love having a lot!

Each Interview weekend consists of formal interviews, time to get to know FOCUS and current missionaries, as well as some time to hang out with the other applicants after the interview process is over. Zach and I interviewed in Minneapolis back in 2012, and it was one of the most fun weekends ever! We met some of our closest friends in FOCUS at that interview weekend, including our current teammate Greg- who is a DCO for the Southeast with Zach. The interview weekend is more than just interviewing for a job. It gives applicants a chance to pray and discern if this is truly where God is calling them to serve His Church.

It’s always exciting to hear who is going to interview weekends, you never know when you’ll have a former student apply! Join us in praying for the future of FOCUS, the applicants themselves, as well as the support staff interviewing everyone. I’m excited to meet all of our new hires that come onto staff this year and hang out with them at New Staff Training this  summer! If you are interested in learning more about FOCUS or in applying to be a campus missionary, check out the FOCUS Website for more information.
